A day all its own

Donation Day

One day. One town. One big thank-you to the food bank.

Donation Day is the standalone capstone of the event – with its own poster and its own campaign. Here’s why it matters: even if a neighbour never built a display or grabbed a map, this is the one day they can show up and support their local food bank. Lots of ways to play. Lots of ways to win.

WHY A STANDALONE DAY

The easiest on-ramp in the whole event.

The 11-day tour is the fun, creative heart of Sharecrows. But Donation Day is the open door – a single, well-promoted moment when the whole community can give, together, no matter how they spent the rest of the event.

1

Display hosts

Bring in the donations collected at your bin over the eleven days. Your Sharecrow did its job – now bring it home.

2

Tour-goers

No matter how many times you went out to enjoy the creative displays around town, today is a day for everyone. Drop by, bring another little something or just come see the results come in. Welcome regardless of how much you played.

3

Everyone else

Didn’t build, didn’t tour? Perfect. Donation Day is made for you. Drop off food, scan to give, and you’re a Hunger Hero too.

DONE FOR YOU

Its own poster, created for your town.

Your Donation Day poster has all the info needed:  your town, your date, your drop-off spot, and your QR code — ready to print, post, plus ready-to-go social media memes to help you promote on your channels.

Donation Day, Saugeen Shores – the whole town’s haul, headed to the food bank.

One day to bring the whole town together.

That’s the magic of Donation Day.
